Rothmans dividend raised
The directors of Rothmans Industries, Ltd, have recommended a final dividend of 5225 c, a share, which increases the annual rate from 8.75 c to 9.25 c a share (15.5 per cent), after a successful year. 1? ... . ■
The unaudited group net profit rose 16.9 per cent to $6,843,000 in the year to June 30, they say in a preliminary report. The profit was after providing $62,435 more for tax at $4,091,000, and $224,976 more for depreciation at $2,039,000. Non-recurring profits totalled $41,000 ($399,677 previously). The dividend, 1.5 c a share of which is tax-free, is payable on November 7, ex dividend on October 16.
