Mr Goodall life member
Mr Fred Goodall, a central figure in the dramatic events during the’ West Indies - New Zealand. cricket test at Christchurch last summer, has been elected a’life mem-, her of the. Canterbury Cricket Umpires’ Association.
Mr Goodall has been a member of the association since 1959, and last summer equalled a New Zealand
record when the Christchurch test marked his fiftieth first-class appointment; The umpires’ association may never have been in a healthier state than it is gt present. It has a membership of 45, of whom 24 are active members. This is the best for at least 50 years, and makes the association the srtongest.in active membership, of any in New Zealand.
