Christian radio bid
PA Auckland The Auckland Town Hall was more than half-filled this week for a meeting of supporters for a Christian radio station in the city. The Christchurch station, Radio Rhema, had organised the meeting, to coincide with an application to the Broadcasting” Tribunal for a three-month trial of a relay station in Auckland to gauge the extent of support Mr Richard Berry, director of the station, said that a ’two-month relay trial in Wellington, from mid-March, to mid-May, had been successful enough to justify preparing an application for a permanent warrant,
