Abba on the move?
A member of the Swedish pop group, Abba, has . told the London “Daily Mail” that the band may * settle in Britain to ease its tax burden, -. ;“We are successful, so we are punished by having to pay tax at the ridiculous level of 87 per cent,” the guitarist and song-'writer, Bjorn Ulvaeus, was quoted as say- . ing. ' “We would all be reluc-
tant to leave. But if the Swedish Government increases the tax level any more we will quit. “There is only one country we could settle in — Britain. It is the easiest country in the world in which to live.” According to the Newspaper, if the group lived in Britain its highest rate of tax would be 60 per cent. _____
