She won the foreign competitors’ section of the women’s individual competition,

with a total of 2451 points, against the 2506 of the overall winner, American Judi Adams. Gary Wright, of Auckland finished thirty-sixth over all and was the ninth foreign competitor in the men’s section, scoring 2338 points against the 2558 points of the winner, Richard McKinney (U.S.).
