Women are in the “doldrums,” according to Mrs Joan Jackson, who is the president of the Canterbun' Floral Circle. ' The circle’s workshops, which used to attract about 4b people, pow have only 15 to 20 women attending. Today the circle is organising a floral art demonstration in the Horticultural Hall. Members from North Canterbury will give the demonstration, which is on the theme of the “country touch.”
