Five in-one cooking pot caters for all
A cooking pot which can be used to make a casserole on Monday, steak on Tuesday, Beef Strogonoff on Wednesday. Chicken Maryland on Thursday, fish and chips on Friday, a fondue on Saturday and Sunday’s roast can be found in Ralta’s Pot Pourri. And that is not the end of this five-in-one cooker’s versatility: At breakfast time, it will cook scrambled eggs. sausage, chops, bacon and eggs; at other times it can be used to cook scones, pikelets, fritters, sausage rolls and soups, and be used for blanching and preserving.
It can even bake a cake by placing the cake tin inside the pot. Unfortunately, this method does not produce the usual brown topping of a cake,
and they are best Iced afterwards. The Pot Pourri features heat control for more even cooking, cast aluminium which heats more quickly and evenly, an easy-to-clean enamel finish, a fish and chip basket for deep frying, and the electric unit works verj r economically on only five cents a hour.
The pot became a five-in-one unit with the recent introduction of a pottery lining for ceramic cooking. Other Ralta cooking units, which are available from all major retailers, include:
The Jumbo Frypan Model FP3/1, which is round so that there are no cold comers. It is made of cast aluminium for even heat, has an easy , to clean Armourcoat finish inside
and out, a high lid to take big family roasts, removable handles for easy washing and storage. The unit comes complete with an international cookbook, cleaning brush/scraper and egg slide. The Crockpot Model SCI four-litre unit also saves power and can make inexpensive cuts of meat tender, and is claimed not to boil vitamins away. It can cook the dinner all day, while you are away, and also features a re, movable stoneware liner.
The Compact Frypan Model FP4/1 is round, of cast aluminium and just the right size for cooking a meal for the smaller group or for the gourmets. It is designed to make crepes and omelettes but can also cook a chicken perfectly. For easy cleaning, it has an Armourcoat finish inside and out. The Sizzler Model HCI is a fast snack meal cooker featuring a reversible grid, one side for hamburger patties, the other for toasted sandwiches, or the cooking surface can be used for open grilling. All the surfaces are non-stick Armourcoat for easy cleaning.
