Big lottery planned
PA Auckland Somebody could win the object of his greatest dreams in a lottery planned for later this year. . ' / . The New Zealand Lotteries organiser, Mr Warwick Kiddle, said yesterday he was designing a new lottery to fund the 1981 New Zealand Games. The prizes .would be “dream-fillers” of a substantial nature, plus large sums of cash. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Highet) had hoped that the special lottery would provide about $200,000 for the Games, but Mr Kiddle said that what he had in mind would produce much more.
He hoped that tickets in the lottery would be on sale by Christmas.
