Search for youth
Search teams went into the Mount Somers area last evening to look for an Ashburton youth, aged 15, who failed to return after a planned one day tramp. The youth had left his car" narked arid had intended to walk through, the-Alford forest to Mount Somers. He was expected out at‘4 pan., but had not appeared and four search teams were sent, into the area.. . The Christchurch police said the youth had a sleeping bag, some food, and a thermos, but his tramping experience was “minimal.”
