Approval for bid
PA Auckland New Zealand Forest Products, Ltd, and U.E.B. Industries, Ltd, have advised that the examiner of commercial practices (Mr A. E. Monaghan) has given his consent to the proposed merger of the two companies. N.Z.F.P. will proceed with its offer to the holders of U.E.B. ordinary and specified preference shares to give it a 40 per cent stake in U.E.B. The formal offer will be mailed to U.E.B. shareholders on or about August, 18.
