The position has a grading of Grade II maximum (salary ?NZ13,967 - $NZ15,975). Appointment would be according to qualification and experience. The appointee would be responsible for the routine HLA typing, ior screening for leucocyte and platelet antibodies, for quality control relating to Tissue Typing and could undertake approved research studies in the field. Duties would also include the supervision of the Hepatitis testing section. Some experience in Blood Group Serology would be an advantage.

The successful applicant would also take part in the training of post-N.Z.C.S. trainees for the Part n and Part HI examinations of the Medical Technologists’ Board and also laboratory assistants for the Qualified Technical Assistant examinations of the N.Z.I.M.L.T.
