PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN 5 LINCOLN WATER SUPPLY NOTICE is hereby given that the Ellesmere County Coun- ; cil proposes, at its meeting to be held on Monday, September 22, 1980, to consider a motion to apply to the Local , Authorities Loans Board for - its sanction to the raising of 1 a special loan of $380,000 for 1 the purpose of constructing ’ a public water supply for Lincoln Township. The security for the loan shall be a _ special rate of such amount each year upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Lincoln Water Supply ' Area as may in that year pro- I vide sufficient revenue for i the payment of the annual 1 charges in respect of the loan 1 plus 10 per cent thereof, 1 which rate shall continue un- ; til the loan is paid off. At 1 current values the special < rate would amount to .4399 1 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the Lincoln Water Supply Area. It is not proposed to levy . or collect the special rate hut to meet all charges by means of uniform annual fees. ASHBURTON LAKES LAND USE SURVEY I THE Department of Lands ’ and Survey is to prepare a land use study for the fol- ; lowing lakes and environs in • the Upper Ashburton River ' catchment: Heron, Maori Lakes, Clearwater, Camp, Denny, Emma, Mystery, Roundabout, Trinity, Spider Lakes. Emily. Manuka and Seagull. The lakes are of varying status and Include nature and scenic reserves and Crown land. There are also wildlife refuges established around some of the lakes. The plan will contain resource data, objectives and policies for management of the lakes. . Interested persons and organisations are invited to send comments in writing to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Department of Lands I and Survey, Private Bag, Christchurch, by September 5, 1980. This invitation to make comments is additional to that made in October, 1977. as some organisations and individuals may have revjsed policies or thoughts on management of the area. Qjgl WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL CHANCE OF STREET NAME AFFECTING NORTHERN PORTION OF TORRENS ROAD IT is hereby publicly' notified that at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton on Wednesday, July 16, 1980, at 7.00 p.m., the Waimairi County Council passed the following resolution: “That pursuant to Sections 113 and 320 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to change the name of the northern portion of Torrens Road li.e. between the Southern Motorway and Halls Road) to Marylands Place.” A copy of the resolution may be inspected at the County Office, corner Jeffreys and Clyde Roads, during normal office hours.
