The important catalogue includes a fine collection of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian sterling silver including a large Victorian Punch bowl and an exceptional lidded beer jug (as illustrated), small George II salver, large George HI salver and other fine George 111 pieces, including a tea cady by Hester Bateman, a fine mug and a cream jug etc. Outstanding Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture including an exceptional corner display cabinet. Burr walnut foldover card table, outstanding gentleman’s chair in walnut, early Victorian dressing table, chests of drawers, 100 dining table and bow front chest in mahogany, a fine early Victorian circular dining table and 4 superb Regency dining chairs also in mahogany. Delightful early Victorian pieces in walnut including various occassional chairs, lady’s sewing chair, sewing table, whatnot etc. There is an antique hall stand of imposing proportions and some extremely fine well carved hall chairs. Other interesting j items include a captains chair, a cedar chiffonier, an attractive inlaid display cabinet in walnut, an exquisite continental wall table, a handsome pair of club arm chairs in hide, a deep buttoned lounge settee and numerous other pieces including various chairs, occassional tables, coffee tables and a rare heavily carved Oriental Mandarin type chair and a Cutler type roll top desk in oak. Notable ceramics include a collection of Royal Worcester including a large vase by James Stinton and a delightful cabinet cup and saucer by W. H. Austin, numerous pieces of Royal, Doulton include large plates and various pieces of coaching and other series. There is an imposing mantle set of a clock and 2 large vases and decorative hunting scene ceramics. Several important large Moorcroft vases and numerous other pieces of Bing and Geondahl, Coalport, Wedgwood, Limoges, Amphora ware etc. Early ceramics include early Minton, Spode, stone china, Staffordshire and other wares. Oriental pieces of note include an impressive Satsuma teaset, a large early nineteenth Century Charger etc. Important glassware includes some rare Mille Fiori pieces, impressive Victorian glass, a spectacular set of 6 Bohemian wine glasses in assorted colours, decanters, “bubble” ashtrays etc. Good paintings include works of merit by M. A good collection of gold coins and N.Z. tokens including half sovereigns, a Queen Anne Guinea and an old Spade Guinea.
