This 17-metre-long Italian sausage is the pride and joy of Mr Jack Horlemann, of Nelson, a Continental sausage maker. It contains 18 kilograms of meat enriched with red wine. It is still a far cry from the longest continuous sausage, recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, which was 2674 metres and weighed 1551.2 kilograms. It was made in Michigan in 1978.
