French skier arrives
Coronet Peak’s ski school director, Weems Westfeldt, this season has a colourful addition to his staff which comprises a total of 64 instructors from 14 nations.
Nadya Savelli, a French ski instructor, is a former member of her country’s national team. She specialises in the downhill event
and in one Europa Cup race in 1975 she gained a fifteenth place. At the tune Miss Savelli was only 18. For the last three years the French girl has been working in the United States apd it was at Vail that she met Westfeldt and he invited her to come to New Zealand. Miss Savelli says she
enjoys teaching children and she has been looking foarward to working with the many other wellqualified instructors on the field. ' In October her love of speed will hasten her back to France where she and her boyfriend will take part in the famous “80l d’or” 12-hour motor-cycle race.
