Pan Am to miss Fiji
NZPA Suva Flights to Fiji started by Pan American 33 years ago will end in. September. The airline will: begin overflying Nandi airport then, because, it says, it can make, more money ■. carrying passengers non-stop between Australia and Hawaii and the. United States mainland. The'decision-announced by Pan Amyest-.dayhas been expected by. the Fijivtravel trade for some time. But.it came as a blow since the two Boeing 747 return flights through Nandi that Pan Am makes each week now bring about half the American tourists, who visit Fiji.
