Orderings-off worry
The number dt orderirigs-off being dealt with by the judicial committee before the full meeting of the Canterbury Eugby Union’s .management committee was commented upon' by the chairman, Mr B. J. Drake, at the committee’s . meeting last evening. Mr Drake said that he was alarmed at the increasing number of offenders appearing before the judicial committee in recent weeks and that he would support any stronger penalties imposed by the. judicial committee. ; - / Mr R. W. Thomas said that it was the union’s policy not to name any plaver under the age of 18 who had been ordered off. However, if the present trend continues we must look seriously at the idea of lowering this age to under 16,” he said.
