Protester stays on
NZPA London A New Zealander, Mr Bruce Cramond, has chosen to stay with the Greenpeace protest boat, Rainbow Warrior, in the northern Spanish port where it is being held. Mr Cramond .and 15 others on the boat were released from a loose form of house arrest last week, after being detained while trying to-''stop'Spanish whaling in the Bay of Biscay. Some crew members have returned to the environmentalist organisation’s headquarters in Amsterdam, but a spokesman said yesterday that most, including the first mate, Mr Cramond, had decided to stay with the ship. Mr Cramond, aged 33, from Te Puke, was on his first voyage with the 417tonne Rainbow Warrior, but he had spent several months liaising with the ship from the Amsterdam headquarters.
