Explanation sought
PA Wellington The Hutt Valley Badminton Association has written to New Zealand’s top player, Steve Wilson, of Wanganui, asking for an explanation for his non-appearance at the Hutt Valley Open last week-end. The association wants to
know why Wilson did not at least inform it that he was not going to arrive for the tournament. Wilson was the top seed in all three of the events he entered — the men’s singles, the men’s doubles and the mixed doubles — and his failure to turn up resulted in a lop-sided draw.
