PA ■ Wellington The Government is negotiating to extend the number and scope of agreements abroad aimed at avoiding- double taxation and preventing fiscal evasion. Formal ■ agreements are already in force with many Commonwealth countries,. the United States. some Asian nations, and with Sweden. But. negotiations are
continuing with Belgium, Canada, Denmark, West Germany. Finland. France. Italy, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, and with the Philippines. Sweden, and Switzerland to renew or establish such, agreements. The information is contained in the Inland Revenue Department’s annual ; report for the year to | March 31. 1980, tabled in Parliament.
