Thomas film for release

The feature film on the Arthur Allan Thomas case, ‘‘Beyond Reasonable Doubt” will be released throughout New Zealand by the Amalgamated Theatres chairi in September.
“The film is a work of entertainment, but this is really a piece of history being recreated,” said Mr Kevin Ryan, the Auckland lawyer who defended Mr Thomas at the second trial.
The film has been produced by John Barnett and directed by John Laing. The script is by the British author, David Yallop. ft stars David Hem* mings and John Hargreaves, with Martyne Sanderson, Tony Barry, Grant Tilly, lan Watkin, Terence Cooper, and Diane Rowan.
