PA Dunedin The use of raised markings on tinned foods to help blind shoppers has been suggested at the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers conference at Dunedin. The idea was investigated by the Consumers’ Institute and a big New Zealand canning company has promised to look into the idea. The division has also decided to set up a fund for research into c,ot deaths. This project, which will last until May 31, 1981, is in addition to the $4OOO given by the W.D.F.F. to buy 10 cot death monitoring mattresses.
