Share prices recover
Share prices recovered in mixed, busy trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Although the N.Z.U.C. index eased 0.47 points, market leaders were firmer. N.Z. Forest Products rose 3c to 333 c, Fletcher 3c to 323 c, and Challenge 2c to 247 c. A further special sale of M. O’Brien shares was made at 86c, 11c above the ordinary market price.
Mosgiel’s shares continued to fluctuate as moves to try to save the company seemed no closer to being settled. The shares finished 2c down at sc, but the preference shares firmed 1c to sc.
