More than 300 Christchurch people have paid $245 each to hear the property developer, Mr Bob Jones, give advice on property investment. Late last evening all bu’ two seats had been booked out for the seminar in the Christchurch Town Hall this week-end. ; Mr Jones has been advertised as a /‘property magnate;’’ giving an assessment of 5 tbday’s property market with its “remarkable opportunities for overnight riches.” However, a counterseminar, called “Exploiters Expo ’80”, has been organised by the Christian
Worker Movement outside the hall at nobn today. A spokesman for the movement, Mr M. Caroll, said yesterday that the first seminar would encourage a “small, greedy elite” to exploit others through property deals. , . ... The movement’s newsletter said: “Inside, people will be talking 1 about - making millions, and outside, for nothing <we will be talking about the millions who are not making it.” The group also plans a prayer meeting outside the Town Hall tomorrow afternoon.
