The day in Parliament
PA Wellington Annual reports were tabled from the New Zealand Lottery Board, the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, the Commerce Commission, the New Zealand Gas Council, the New Zealand Planning Council, and the Commission for the Future when Parliament sat at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. Members tabled five notices of motion.
The Shop Trading Hours Amendment Bill was introduced and referred to the
Labour and Education Select Committee. The Public Finance Amendment Bill was introduced and referred to the Public Expediture Committee. The Marlborough County Council Empowering Amendment Bill was introduced and referred to the Local Bills Select Committee. Debate on the introduction of the Meat Amend- ' ment (No. 2) Bill was interrupted by the 5.30 p.m/ adjournment. i
