Sunday soccer
The four seml-finalists in the Conley and Blyth Bolam Cup Sunday soccer league competition were decided on Sunday. In the quarter-finals. Foresters beat Mastaguard B, 3-0, Gladstone beat Avonhead C, 7-0, Mastaguard A beat Andersons, 3-2, and Sunnyside beat Carlton, 7-0. Kevin Grant scored a hat-trick for Sunnyside while the winning goal for Mastaguard A came from the penaltv spot. The semi-finals on August 3 will be between Foresters and Mastaguard A, and Sunnyside and Gladstone.
