The price for bulk sales of. New Zealand lamb to United j Kingdom retailers eased | again last week, reports the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board in its weekly market survey. However, the underlying tone of the market remains firm. On Smithfield PL grade was quoted at 60.0 —61.0 p per lb, and PM grade at 57.0 —59.0 p per lb. BEEF
The continuing lack of demand on the U.S. market for boneless beef products resulted in the average price for imported cow beef drop-
ping to 99.5 U.S. cents per ! I lb c.i.f., down 3c on the preii vious week’s price. Despite : favourable weather conditions, consumer demand - for hamburgers and hot dogs i remained sluggish.
