Ind. Chemicals 1:7 bonus
PA Auckland Industrial Chemicals (New Zealand), Ltd, is making a one-for-seven bonus issue and raising its dividend rate from 17 per cent to 18 per cent, after a 32.4 per cent rise in equity, profit from last year’s $259,895 to $344,223 in the year to March 31.
The higher dividend comes after a higher payment last year, and is payable on capital increased by a on-e-for-five bonus in August. The payout equals a 21.6 per cent rate on pre-bonus capital.
Sales in the year were 15.4 per cent ahead at $6,280,476 and the result was after a tax provision $67,199 greater at $281,140. The earning rate on capital is up from a bonusadjusted 43 per cent to 56.9 per cent. The final 10 per cent dividend is payable on July 31, ex dividend and bonus July 16; shares issued in the bonus will rank for the next interim dividend.
