Budget Advisory Service
Sir,—ln response to the article on the lack of financial support for the Budget Advisory Service, our office wishes to forward through you the accompanying donation of $lOO. We , have found the service they provide an invaluable resource for us. With their assistance we are able to offer people who appear before the courts, because of financial mismanagement, a constructive way of dealing with the situation and hence preventing future court appearances. Our concern while making this donation is that the Budget Advisory Service may be required to survive on donations in the future. We consider their work worthy of Government or local body support, so their time is not consumed in a continuous search for funding. Thanks to your paper and the Budget Advisory Service.—Yours, etc GRAEME MOORE. For the Christchurch Probation Service. June 6, 1980.: ' t [“The press’’ has passed the money on to Mr Jim Maguire; secretary-organiser of the service.—Editor]
