Musgrove dispute
Sir, — I would like to congratulate the managers of Musgroves, Ltd, for the stand they have taken for freedom in this country, Musgroves are losing money and production in their fight' and if we do not support them so will we aIL Also, the Government is now forcing a compulsory conference With the Canterbury Trades Council. Does the Government force compulsory conferences between a nightclub owner and the local “protection racketeer”,, when the club owner refuses to pay? The fact that a private enterprise company is being hammered by Governmentsupported unions while other business and the public do nothing shows- that low integrity is widespread. Musgroves’ stand will benefit all moral people in this country, so any support is in one’s own best interest. — Yours, etc., TREVOR LOUDON. May 8, 1980.
