Student help to continue
NZPA-Reuter Kuching, Malaysia New Zealand had no plans to increase college fees for overseas students and would work to maintain its present intake' of students from Malaysia, said the High Commissioner to Malaysia (Mr M. Mansfield) yesterday. He said on arrival in Kuching for a four-day familiarisation visit that his Government subsidised 75 per cent of the training costs of all overseas students in New ZealandEach year between 300 to 400 students from Malaysia sought admission in New Zealand colleges and universities and “we have no intention of restricting their entry,” he said. Trade between Malaysia and New Zealand was expanding about 15 per cent veariv marginally in New Zealand’s favour. Mr Mansfield said that the New Zealand Government would intensify technical and managerial co-operation with Malaysia
