Goldfields photographs sought

Old goldfields photographs are wanted by the new full-time research officer appointed to the Otago Goldfields Park by the Lands and Survey Department. Mr M. Hanger has as his main job to help with the field management and historical interpretation work done by the park in locating, recording, and arranging historical records. He will also write park publications and present displays. Mr Hanger is compiling a pictorial history of goldmining in Otago and is looking for old photographs of the area. He can be reached through the department’s office in Dunedin.
