Untroubled victories

University (men) and Carlton (women) were untroubled to win their eighth and sixth successive indoor hockey titles respectively at Canterbury Court last evening. But these two .division I games were anti-climactic after the thrilling secondary schools’ division J final between Papanui High School and Christchurch Boys’ High School. Papanui won 4-3 in extra time and it was the first time Boys’ High had lost the final since the division was instituted six years ago. Results of other finals were: Men.—Division II: Sydenham) Cashmere 6. • High School Old Roys 3. Division III: Woolston 3 t High School Old Boys 1. Secondary schools.—Division II) Christchurch B.H.S. 4, Shirted B.H.S. 3. Women.—Division II: Carltort 2. Woolston 1 (after penally Istrokes).
