NZPA Washington The New Zealand em-< bassy in Washington was recently host for an exhibition of SUS 7 million worth of prints, paintings, porcelain, and antique furniture. The art pieces, plus the two original copies of the United States constitution, were brought in for a gala SUSI2S a head dinner to raise funds for Washington’s Folger Library. The. New Zealand Ambassador (Mr Merwyn Norrish) and Mrs Norrlsh, who have been closely associated with the library and its adjacent Shakespearean Folger theatre during their time in Washington, offered the embassy as the venue for the function. Three hundred notabilities from Britain and the United States attended. “It was a grand affair and really put New Zealand on the Washington social map,” said an embassy official.
