Colts fight back to win
A sterling forward effort paved the way for a Canterbury Colts victory against their Nelson Bays, counterparts at Mdtueka yesterday. The lead changed five .times in the match, Nelson Bays leading, 12-10, with 15 minutes remaining. But. the Canterbury pack streamrolled back on to the attack and the sturdy , prop, Richard Loe, scored twice in the final quarter to help Country to a 22-12 win. The margin could have been greater, but, too’many indecisive moments, bad handling by the backs, and! some inaccurate goal-kicking | early on made Country work) hard for its win. For the. Colts, Loe (2) and Andrew r Prattley . . scored tries, Stewart Boon kicked two conversions, and' a penalty goal, and Kevin Rowe added a penalty goal. Nelson ■Bays’ try-scorer was Steplien Hutchinson and ’/Chris Rhodes kicked the ' Conversion . and added two penalty goals.
