Appointment to Wool Board

; Sir, — You show a good sense of , humour in the heading on the appointment of Mr P. M. McCaw to the Wool Board. All the qualifications of Mr McCaw are explained but I cannot find any qualifications of Mr McCaw as a “wool man”. He is a chartered accountant of which we seem to have an unlimited supply. The Government would have boosted the morale of the wool manufacturing business, which at the moment is at a very low point, by appointing a man from the industry. — Yours, etc., FRANK J. BIERINGS, President, Canterbury Textile Society, Society of Dyers and Colourists, Australia and New Zealand, South Island section. * May 6, 1980.
