Floods in Jakarta
NZPA Jakarta Two children died and 3500 families had to be evacuated from their homes when flood waters inundated several areas in Jakarta last week-end, the newspaper “Pos Kota” reported. Several days of rain, especially in nearby west Java, caused rivers to rise rapidly, a flood control official said.
