Lawyers plan group advts
PA Dunedin The New Zealand Law Society, is preparing to spend about $130,000 on an advertising campaign to increase lawyers’ work and profits, enhance their image, and educate the public. Full-page and large display advertisements will start to appear in October in newspapers with extensive rural and urban coverage. But for the present, television will miss the advertising revenue. The society believes, newspapers are “probably a more selective
medium.” It also thinks some lawyers may find television advertising unacceptable for the profession, and its budget is too small to incorporate television advertisements anyway. None of the district law societies in -. New Zealand have opposed-the campaign, according to a report in the Auckland District Law Society’s newsletter. But the Hamilton society has expressed concern that the campaign should not principally promote financial advantage to lawyers.
