Sentence deferred on drug counts
A company director. GaryArthur Boote, aged 24. has been further remanded in custody to May 14 for sentence in the High Court on charges of importing heroin and cocaine. The accused, represented by Mr K. N. Hampton, had pleaded guilty to the offences in the District Court late last month and was committed to the High Court for sentence. Yesterday, Mr Justice Somers further remanded him to May 14, in custody for sentence. His Honour said it was not possible for him to deal with the sentencing yesterday, and. he had not received the probation report until late oh Monday. after a drug squad raid on a house in Derby Street on April 3.
