B.N.Z. Finance has good year
The directors of the BNZ Finance Company, Ltd, plan to increase the final dividend from 8.5 c to 9c a share (9 per cent) after a good result in the year to March 31. The audited group net profit rose 49.6 per cent to $1,168,000, which the directors said, clearly demonstrated the remarkable progress made by the group during the year.
In the first six months i BNZ Finance’s profit was I ahead 26.3 per cent, and the l dividend was raised from 6c : to 7c a share. The result was after pro- • viding $97,000 more for tax ' at $745,000. The final dividend, of 9c . a share, 5c a share of which is tax-free, gives an annual ' rate of 16c a share (14.5 c a share previously). It is pay-j able on July 7.
