Sir, — I tore up my initial reply to Dr Viney (“The Press,” May 1) as A. K. Grant did it so much better (“The Press,” May 3). I would point out that Dr Viney has not really answered my question at all.He has stated a theoretical position regarding parental responsibility, with some of which I agree. But surely the fundamental question is how to get irresponsible parents to take the steps that Viney suggests. Until this problem is resolved we will continue to have the prob-
