Trial nears its end
PA Auckland Mr Justice Prichard will sum up tod'ay in the trial of Brian Ronald McDonald, the man accused of murdering Margaret Bell. The jury will then retire to consider its verdict. McDonald, aged 27, an unemployed auto electrician from Panmure, is alleged by the Crown to have shot Miss Bell in the foyer of the Mainstreet Cabaret in Queen Street in July.
