The Midas touch
A very attractive feature of the new Cashfields Arcade in Christchurch is a superbly presented shoe store called Midas. The name Midas, having its associations with “the golden touch,” is most appropriate to both the decor and the footwear to be found there. Midas will he selling high quality fashion shoes for men and women in relaxed surroundings which complement the merchandise. Latest over-
seas stylings will be represented by both imported fashion shoes and the best from leading New Zealand fashion houses. The decor is impressive, with the marble fascia, gold fittings and rich carpeting, creating an atmosphere. similar to that of shoes salons found in the European fashion centres. With a sister store on Queen Street in Auckland, Midas brings to the South Island a specialist shoe store catering for men and women of all ages who value quality merchandise, up to the minute styling and excellent service. With entrances from both Cashel Street and Cashfields Arcade manager Nigel Andrews expects Midas to become a focal point for the younger and more mature sets who will be keeping their eyes on his windows to see what is happening in world of hig qualit footwear.
