Validity of passports
New Zealanders whose passports are less than six months valid are being turned away by airlines at Auckland Airport at an average rate of 20 a week. Countries requiring passports for entry require a minimum validity of six months. Intending travellers who wish to avoid possible embarrassment and disappointment at the check-in counters should double check the expiry date of their passports long before leaving home.
