Company receivers appointed
Receivers were, appointed to 18 companies ’last month, compared with 17 in March last year.
Statistics from the Companies Office of the Justice Department show that in March, 18 companies' ceased business, compared with five in thecorresponding period last year. New company registrations numbered 600, only one of which was an overseas company. In. March, 1979, there were 684 new company registrations, including five overseas companies. ' Twenty-eight companies were wound up by court orders last month, a drop of three from the number in March last year. The number of voluntary liquidations last month was 58, compared with 33 last year. While no companies increased their nominal capital in March, 1979, 210 did so last month.
