Country visit enjoyed
Sir,- — We thought it would be a pleasant change to write a letter of thanks instead of a letter of criticism: First, to Felicity Price for informing us about the outing in her Reporter’s Diary; second to the New Zealand National Travel Association, Canterbury and West Coast branch, in association with the Methven and Districts Promotion Association; third to their cheeful courier and happy bus driver; and last, but by no means least to the wonderful people of the district who made us all feel extremely welcome to their beautiful area. We realise now what a wonderful province we live in. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the “Coach’n Country Cookout” held on Sunday, April 13, and felt it would be appropriate ,to let all those concerned know how much we appreciated their efforts. —Yours, etc., MARGARET LECKIE, JEAN MACRAE. ~ April 21, 1980.
