Non-payers ail fun-runs
Sir, — What a she one that a number of those in. local fun-runs seem to be unprepared to pay the 13 ominal entry fees, and pi rrsonal hardship is probably a ,ot the reason. These people could bring the downfall of fun-run activity. Many ' seem to grab certificates »at the finish of events and otherwise avail themselves of facilities prepared with great effort by organisers. 15 1 some could see fit to changi i their attitudes and in so doing contribute to costs and 'I charity, the demise of the great fun-run trend couh J be averted. It is to be hoped that some method :ffl .ay be devised to weed outt these fun-run bludgers. — ; ‘Yours, etc B. F. WAU KLIN. April 20,‘ 1980. .
