Two N.Z. films in U.K. series
Wellington An historic Maori pa site in the Turuturu-Mokai reserve near Hawera, in Taranaki, has been used as the location for two halfhour film dramas for children’s television audiences.
The films were shot for a British television series, with Gibson Films, of Wellington, as the New Zealand producer. Both films are based on Maori folk tales. The cast included the South Taranaki Maori cultural group. A third film in the series will be shot at Rotorua and a fourth in Samoa.
