Awapuni mount
Special correspondent Palmerston North
The man of the moment, Bill Skelton, has the ride on Master Token in the Anzac Metric Mile at the Manawatu meeting tomorrow. With Paul Belsham being required for Raywood Lass, Skelton snapped up the mount on Master Token. The Woodville galloper has won seven races at Awapuni, in= eluding this race two years ago, and looks well placed to add to this record tomorrow. Bruce Marsh has announced that his Avondale acceptors, Smoke Dream and Shamrock, are not making the trip. They are two of his team booked to leave for Brisbane on May 3, and Noel Harris has confirmed that he will be the stable rider.
