Gold Hope’s good Classic trial
PA Auckland Gold Hope was her normal brilliant self in training at Takanini on Tuesday morning when she worked over 1000 m in preparation for Saturday’s Leopard Classic at Avondale.

Gold Hope, with raceday jockey David Peake in the saddle, was better than her stablemate Majestic Prince over 1000 m, in Imin 2.65. Vilna and Alderran covered 1200 in Imin 21s, the last 600 m in 39.25, while Penumbra and Brittania ran the same distance in Imin 20,55, the final 600 m in 40.55. Another good 1200 m gallop was -turned in by Forfeit and Star Wars, which took Imin 21.65, and 39.45.
